 Final: Navy 35, Missouri 13 Posted: December 31, 8:21 pm | (permalink) | (0 comments) Quarterback Ricky Dobbs and slotback Marcus Curry led a prolific offensive effort while linebackers Ross Pospisil and Craig Schaefer anchored a gutsy defensive performance as Navy routed Missouri 35-13 to capture the Texas Bowl championship. Dobbs established a season-high with 166 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns while Curry accounted for 206 all-purpose yards as Navy gave a clinic on triple-option football. Pospisil recorded a team-high nine tackles along with 1 1/2 sacks and a clutch interception while Schaefer had three tackles for loss among his total of eight as the Midshipmen contained one of the nation's most potent passing attacks. Dobbs also completed 9 of 14 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown in being named Most Valuable Player. Curry rushed for a career-high 109 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries and also had five receptions for 97 yards as the Midshipmen (10-4) snapped a three-game losing streak in bowl games.
