Storm puts keeps tow trucks busy with cars, plows and even each other

As county residents ventured out during and after the weekend snow storm, towing companies had their hands full.

In addition to the countless numbers of personal vehicles that can stuck, tow trucks were pulling out tractor trailers, snowplows and salt trucks and clearing accident scenes.

"This is the worst I've ever seen," said Bobby Jackson, owner of Bobby Jackson Towing in Hanover and Linthicum. "All my trucks got stuck at least once."

AAA Mid-Atlantic, which typically runs from 2,400 to 3,000 calls per day, ran 11,000 calls Monday, with its busiest hour on record from 10 to 11...
