Corporate America wasn't always quick to embrace solar technology. Upfront costs are often pricey, and payback isn't immediate. But a partnership between Staples and solar provider SunEdison in Hanover made possible what they say is Maryland's largest single rooftop solar power. "It's really taking technology that's been around for a while and looking at it with a non-traditional business model," said Mark Buckley, Staples' vice president of environmental affairs.
