Twenty eighth-graders, including two straight-A students from north county, graduated from St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Brooklyn June 1.

Kaitlyn Gamboa, 14, of Brooklyn Park, was president of the eighth-grade class. John Wells, 13, of Severn, was president of the Student Government Association. Both credited their teachers for their successes in school and said they feel prepared for high school.

"The teachers do such a great job and taught me what I needed," said Kaitlyn, who will attend Mount de Sales Academy. "Everyone is so great and friendly and gave me what I needed."
