West County: 'Creative' kick off to library summer reading program

The West County and Provinces libraries will both kick off the summer reading program, which starts Monday and runs through July 25 during regular branch hours.

This year's theme is "Be Creative."

The summer reading program is for everyone: Children, pre-teen, teens and adults all have special programs throughout the summer to encourage the fun of reading.

When children sign up, they can help their schools. Public and private schools that achieve 25 percent participation or higher have a chance to win the Chesapeake Cup for the school to display through the year.
