The Boy Scout Troop 870 recently held an Eagle Court of Honor for its newest Eagle Scout, Joe Rosenthal.

Rosenthal is a 2009 graduate of Northeast High School where he was the most valuable player for track and cross country and played the trumpet for two and a half years.

He began his scouting years with Cub Scout Pack 773 at Lake Shore Baptist Church as a Webelo I at the age of 8. Two years later, after earning the Arrow of Light, he bridged over to Boy Scout Troop 870 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Rosenthal has earned 24 merit badges.
