| Pasadena ES becomes a Maryland Green School

Two years ago, the Pasadena Elementary School began its process to become a Green School. This year, the school was named a Maryland Green School by the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education. And for years to come, the school and its community will work to maintain the honor. Each grade level worked on different projects to help the school's efforts to go green. Kindergarten students studied and hatched butterflies and planted vegetable seeds for the runoff garden. First-graders adopted and raised two diamond back terrapins that hatched on Poplar Island and released them in May back on the island.... This story has expired!
