Like many of you, we've driven up Route 10 in Pasadena and wondered what the observation tower to the east was. Now we know. Saturday's "Where is it?" photo featured the Long Hill Lookout Tower, a reminder of a much less populated era in county history. Built in 1923, the tower sits on 5 acres on Long Hill. The hill rises 150 feet above sea level, and the tower goes up another 60 feet beyond that - putting the top more than 150 feet above the area rolling down toward the Chesapeake in the east.
