Each year the local Millersville Ravens Roost 101 picks a fundraiser to help nonprofit organizations in need of financial support for one reason or another. This year, the group wanted to make a more personal, lasting and direct contribution. "We didn't want to just write a check to a group," said Vickie White, board member. For months members searched for a worthy cause to sponsor until a flyer came about concerning a four-year-old girl with spinal muscular atrophy.
