Helping hospice

Hospice of the Chesapeake will offer a volunteer information night and open house for prospective volunteers from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Annapolis office, 445 Defense Highway.

During the open house, hospice staff will talk about the various volunteer opportunities available and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.

Volunteer opportunities include those surrounding patient care and bereavement support, general office duties, special events and community outreach.
