Linthicum: Trade a few cans of tuna for a day of tunes

The name is representative of what the day is all about - a festival for collecting canned food to help stock the shelves for the North County Emergency Outreach Network.

DaySpring Presbyterian Church, 116 Mardell Road, will present for the third summer its Tin Can Music Fest from noon to 8 p.m. today at Linthicum Park on Benton Avenue.

It's a day full of free food including grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, snowballs, popcorn and bottled water. The only charge is a donation of nonperishable food items for NCEON.
