Man guilty in 2007 murder, rape

GAINSVILLE, Ga. - A Pasadena man pleaded guilty Friday to the 2007 murder and rape of a homeless woman in Georgia, accepting three consecutive life sentences in a plea agreement that avoided the death penalty.

Prosecutors said Allan Robert Dickie, 21, suffered from a long history of psychosis, audible hallucinations and delusions. He pleaded guilty to repeatedly stabbing Claudia Toppin, 37, and then molesting her as she lay dying, the Gainsville Times reported.
