EDITOR'S NOTE: State legislators from District 31 presented legislative citations Wednesday to winners of the Young Heroes Essay Contest and their heroes. Created by state Sen. Bryan W. Simonaire, R-Pasadena, and his 14-year-old son, Isaac, the essay contest drew entries this year from 15 schools. Awards were presented by Simonaire and Dels. Don Dwyer, R-Glen Burnie, Nic Kipke, R-Pasadena, and Steve Schuh, R-Gibson Island.
