| Pasadena: Jacobsville jumps for more than just heart

"Tape Mrs. Schmid! Tape Mrs. Schmid! Tape Mrs. Schmid!" This was the excited chant of hundreds of Jacobsville Elementary School students on the last day of school before the Thanksgiving break. But these weren't rowdy, out of control kids anxious for the holidays. Rather, it was the last day of the school's Jump for Heart Jump-athon. "Mrs. Schmid" was physical education teacher Judy Schmid, fulfilling a promise to the students: If they raised $3,000 for the American Heart Association during the Jump for the Heart campaign, she would let the students duct tape her to the gymnasium wall.
