| Brooklyn Park: Volunteers honored for good deeds

The three young volunteers who were honored at the Arundel Neighborhoods Association meeting last month said they weren't helping their neighbors for the recognition, but that they wanted to do the right thing. Brothers William and Anthony White and William's friend, James Studli, each received $20 and certificates honoring them for helping deliver the association's newsletter and shoveling their senior neighbors' sidewalks and cutting their lawns for free. Dawn Kennedy, the Whites' mother, said she wanted to encourage them when they moved to the neighborhood about a year and a half... This story has expired!
