Effective immediately, the Brooklyn Heights Improvement Association has suspended its regular meetings, including Monday's.

Officers made the decision after noticing, for at least six to 18 months, that only they and a few members had been attending the meetings, President Mike Connell said.

Suspending the meetings doesn't mean the association is disbanding, he said. The association instead is planning on having meetings only when needed or possibly annually, he said.
