| Pasadena: Bodkin student places in Port to Fort 6K run

Alex Van Valkenburgh, a fourth grader from Bodkin Elementary, ran the annual Port to Fort 6K run for his second year, held on April 26. The race begins and ends at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, 1415 Key Highway. The Port to Fort 6K run has quickly grown to become one of the largest races in Baltimore City with over 1,400 participants last year. This year Van Valkenburgh has topped his previous year's time and his fundraising goal to support Believe in Tomorrow Children's Foundation. Last year Van Valkenburgh completed the 3.72 mile course in 32:25. He was even faster this year, clocking in at 26:16, which put him in 71st... This story has expired!
