Music Box: The Kingston Trio sets up hootenanny at Rams Head

It's Kumbaya at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis tonight when The Kingston Trio sets up for two hootenanny-style sessions (6 and 9 p.m.)

The Kingston Trio emulated out of the early San Francisco scene back in the late '50s and early '60s when folk music was king.

Back in the day when a million was still a stratospheric concept, The Kingston Trio's hit song "Tom Dooley" was selling three million copies. In one year they had four albums in the Top 10.

The French magazine Jade has called Cambridge musician Anne Watts a cross between Tom Waits and Edith Piaf. Her band of Baltimore musicians...
