Car crash

A man was taken to the hospital Thursday after the car he was traveling in crashed into an unoccupied vehicle on Interstate 97, county Fire Department officials said.

Firefighters were called to the highway at about noon for the reported crash and found a 66-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. Paramedics took him to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, officials said.

Details of the crash were not immediately available.
