| Guest Column: Police need to earn their pay and control crime

We have lived at our current address in Brooklyn Park since June 2008 and since that time we have had a $500 windshield broken out with a cinder block shattering glass all over our children's car seats while the vehicle was parked off the street in our driveway. Another vehicle with my much needed power tools in the trunk was stolen from in front of our house and was taken to the Brooklyn Courts and set afire. The tools were valued at $800. My vehicle was destroyed. Another of our vehicles has had the locks jimmied while on our property. We're now waiting for them to steal that one. I have also had my cell phone...
