When Michele Sanchez walked into the building on that Sunday morning last summer, she was struck by a sense of disrespect.

Burglars broke through a window at the American Legion Patrick Henry Post 34 in Brooklyn Park and took cash boxes, a 42-inch flat screen television, shattered the juke box and generally caused a mess.

While the $4,000 in losses and damage hurt, it wasn't the worst thing that members of the small legion post took away from the crime.
