| Running: Volunteers solid as rock for Jogging Joe Fun Runs

Neither rain nor cooler temperatures could delay the start of the second Jogging Joe Fun Runs that were held at Truxtun Park on Nov. 1 in memory of Joe Shafran. The race was organized by the City of Annapolis. Even though the weather didn't cooperate the runners and volunteers did. They showed up in full force to support the Shafran family and raise funds for the Rock for Youth Scholarship Program and Memorial Nature Trail. About 100 runners, children and dogs came out in the cold rain, warmed up with Mayor Ellen Moyer, and enjoyed the music and calisthenics provided by Premier Fitness and WNAV. Fleet Feet of...
