A Meade team with a new coaching staff and a young roster played solid basketball for stretches last night, but couldn't get over the hump against visiting Great Mills, which pulled away with a dominant fourth-quarter stretch to take a 74-62 win over the Mustangs. Senior Marcus Snipes had a team-high 17 points and classmate TJ Fondren added 13 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the visitors from St. Mary's County used a solid rebounding effort and superior depth to keep the Mustangs at arms reach before pulling away in the fourth quarter.
