Baseball Business Camp draws crowd of players, college scouts

After six rounds in the batting cage at the second consecutive six-hour day, Justin Garber was feeling the strain. But it was worth it.

Garber, Mount Hebron's senior third baseman, is one of 330 players from across the East Coast looking to catch the eyes of a college coach at the three-day Southern Maryland Baseball Camp.

"There are a lot of college coaches here, and everything they're doing seems about right," said Garber, who spoke with a coach from Shenandoah University yesterday. "We get a lot of swings and a lot of reps in the field. It seems like a pretty good camp."
