| Plan to give wounded vet home nixed

A Massachussetts-based charity that builds homes for disabled war veterans was all set to give a free four-bedroom home in Pasadena to Sgt. David Battle, his wife and four children yesterday. But less than 24 hours before officials with Homes For Our Troops were to turn over the keys to the estimated $700,000 house to the family, they learned that Battle - a triple amputee after being wounded in Iraq in December 2007 - already owns two homes in Georgia.
