Neighbors celebrate as owner works to clean up notorious Brooklyn Park address

A nearly two-year struggle to close down a known drug house in Brooklyn Park has finally come to an end, prompting neighborhood residents to throw a party in celebration.

The row house at 204 W. Arden Road, raided by county police twice in April, is boarded up so no one can enter. Neighbors say the stream of prostitutes and drug dealers dropping by the house to do business all hours of the night has dried up at last.

"We're going to keep an eye out for anyone who comes back in there, but right now we do not consider it a problem anymore," said Sgt. James Fredericks, county police spokesman.
