Classmate of Bradley Bohle sets up fund

North County High School is creating a scholarship in the memory of 1st Sgt. Bradley Bohle, a 1998 graduate who died Sept. 15 in Afghanistan.

Linda Parks, a math and physical education teacher at the school in Ferndale, is setting up the scholarship with coworker Jay Szech. Parks attended North County with Bohle.

"He was very adamant about what he wanted to do after high school, there was never a second guess," Parks said. "My brother is in the Army and I know if something happened to him I'd want him to be honored and respected. We don't have anything for students that want to go into the military and...
