Redistricting panel votes to move 70

GLEN BURNIE - With a unanimous vote Monday night the Rippling Woods, Southgate redistricting committee recommended to shift 70 Rippling Woods students who live in Fox Chase to Southgate Elementary beginning in the fall of 2011.

The recommendations were forwarded to Superintendent Kevin M. Maxwell for review.

The committee was charged with studying options for alleviating, overcrowding at Rippling Woods Elementary. Increased capacity at Southgate Elementary created by ongoing construction made redistricting a possibility.
