| Fort Meade to be cyber defense home

The Navy plans to establish its new cyber security division at Fort George G. Meade, a move that could be a precursor to a larger, more critical command post at the west county Army post. Naval officials recently announced the establishment of the Fleet Cyber Command, which consolidates the Navy's data defense and intelligence gathering into one division in the burgeoning age of cyber warfare. Chief of Naval Information spokeswoman Lt. j.g. Jennifer Womble indicated it would be run from Fort Meade.
