Busch wants laws that gang up on gangs

Seeks better cooperation between school, law enforcement officials

House Speaker Michael E. Busch has begun meeting with state, law-enforcement and education officials to create legislation to better combat gangs throughout Maryland.

An informal meeting was held recently to talk about a subject that has gained primacy in Anne Arundel County since the May killing of 14-year-old Christopher Jones in Crofton. Police have said two teens who were part of a local gang assaulted and killed Jones while he rode his bike near his home.
