| Expo to focus on 4,000 slots jobs

Cordish Cos. will offer details next week on 4,000 jobs it says would be created by its planned slots casino at Arundel Mills, a show of confidence as the County Council moves toward a crucial vote on the proposal. Joe Weinberg, a managing partner with the Baltimore developer, said the company expects to fill 1,500 permanent jobs and 2,500 temporary construction jobs on the project. Cordish hopes to hire a majority of those workers from Anne Arundel County. The Career and Vendor Information Expo for Power Plant Entertainment, a Cordish subsidiary, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Arundel Mills mall food... This story has expired!
