Security will be heightened at the county NAACP's annual awards banquet Friday night because of "strongly-worded" e-mails objecting to the controversial keynote speaker, the group's president said Monday. Jacqueline Allsup said none of the e-mails threatened the group or the Rev. Dr. Jerimiah Wright, but instead advised the group that "it would be in your best interest not to do this."
