3 boats damaged by weekend fire

GLEN BURNIE - Three boats were damaged Sunday night in Glen Burnie after one of the vessels caught fire, county Fire Department officials said.

Firefighters were called to the 1700 block of Marley Avenue at about 10 p.m. for the fire, said Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia, a county Fire Department spokesman.

Firefighters found a 22-foot boat with heavy flames showing, and fire spreading to two other boats.

It took 41 firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control, Tobia said.
