BWI chauffeurs handcuffed, jailed for hours

Limo owners say permits discontinued years ago

For all Crofton Coach and Courier owner Jim Overmier knew, one of his drivers, Robert Creecy, had been kidnapped, robbed or carjacked on a recent Tuesday night.

No one had heard from Creecy, 59, since he arrived at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport at 9 p.m. to pick up a couple who had scheduled for a driver to take them home that night. It was getting late and co-workers were worried.

Then, Overmier received a phone call. It was the couple Creecy had been scheduled to pick up.

"They told me Bob had been arrested," Overmier said. "My jaw dropped."
