The county's first ShopRite Supermarket will open this fall in Glen Burnie, creating 200 jobs at a time when unemployment is at record high, company officials said yesterday.

The grocery store will fill a vacancy at Chesapeake Square Shopping Center on Ritchie Highway created when the Kmart closed in December, said Robert Pollokoff, president of the Owings Mills-based Fedder Co. The center is owned by principals of the Fedder Co. and the Briarwood Group.
