4A-3A East: Goalie tandem leads Severna Park

It may be a little unorthodox, but the two-goalkeeper system the Severna Park High School boys lacrosse team uses is definitely working.

Junior Andrew Gvozden (eight saves) and sophomore Jeff Lowman (six) stonewalled visiting Annapolis Thursday en route to a 14-3 victory for the Falcons in the Class 4A-3A East Region championship.

The cage-minding duo surrendered just one goal in a combined 43 minutes of action and held the Panthers to their second lowest scoring total of the season.
