| Man electrocuted in vacant Pasadena warehouse

A 41-year-old father of nine died Sunday night after suffering electrical flash burns on his entire body in a vacant Pasadena warehouse - where county police believe he was trying to steal copper wire. County firefighters were called to an old Ames discount store, which has been vacant for more than five years, at 8107 Ritchie Highway near Jumpers Hole Road at about 6:20 p.m. They found smoke coming from a vent at the rear of the building and forced their way in, according to Lt. Frank Fennell, a county Fire Department spokesman. Inside they found Sean David Phelps of Pasadena with second- and third-degree flash burns... This story has expired!
