| Glen Burnie East: Sorority donates gloves to Freetown Elementary

Omicron Gamma Omega, the Glen Burnie chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., recently commemorated the 100-year anniversary of the sorority by donating 100 pairs of gloves to Freetown Elementary School at 7904 Freetown Road where the gloves were distributed to the school's students. Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded at Howard University in 1908 and is the oldest sorority of African-American college-trained women in the country. The Glen Burnie chapter of AKA was chartered in 1984.
