| Outdoors: Signs of big rock in Chesapeake Bay

Sea-run stripers make appearance There are indications in the lower Chesapeake that the first appearance of sea-run striped bass is underway with some fish measuring 40 inches or more and carrying fresh sea lice, an indication accepted by many as evidence they are new arrivals from the Atlantic. Jake Marsh of Glen Burnie reports he and his companion Rob Johnson caught a pair of the biggies (one, 40 inches, the other 42 inches) trolling large bucktails with pork rind added on umbrella rigs off Smith Point.
