All Joe Marchio of Glen Burnie needed to put venison on the table was a change of scenery. A transplant from Ohio several years ago, he had hunted closer to home in previous endeavors — but with no success — and readily accepted an offer to join friend Dan Weaver, also of Glen Burnie, for a few tries at a private farm near Clarksville. It was on the second trip that Marchio scored with a single shot at 30 yards from his 12-gauge shotgun, the buck was a fine 8-pointer, estimated weight of 180 pounds, and Marchio, who took up the chase for deer after moving here, is indeed a happy camper.
