'Rev Up Recycling' High school students throughout the county are being encouraged to pick up a video camera and produce short films to promote recycling. The county government recently launched the "Rev Up Recycling" contest as part of its ongoing effort to persuade residents to recycle 50 percent of waste that would otherwise be destined for landfills. County high schools have until Jan. 31 to register to participate. Those that do register will receive a video camera and editing software from the county with which to produce their video.
