| Third floor: Changes for the Maryland Gazette

Six people were laid off here at the Maryland Gazette as part of the wider cutbacks that affected more than 110 people at our parent company, Capital-Gazette Newspapers. It was a painful step. We lost co-workers and friends, and the lives of both those who lost their jobs and those who stayed have been changed. I've been asking myself how we'll cope without a full staff in Glen Burnie. There's no easy answer. Some functions are moving to Annapolis, where our company is based. Whatever the future brings, you can believe we'll bring the same skills to bear that we always have, hard work, experience and enthusiasm. We... This story has expired!
