Unselfish, team approaches push elite swimmers to top

Severna Park juniors Emily and Sarah Lloyd have set numerous individual records during their high school careers, but their versatility and team-first attitude is what really makes them special in the pool.

Their dominance in the water helped them to be named Capital-Gazette Communications' Girls Co-Swimmers of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Equally dominating on the boys side was Broadneck senior Doug McWhorter, Capital-Gazette Communications' Boys Swimmer of the Year for the second consecutive season.
