The artists and friends of Gibson Island Country School will host "Heaven and Earth," an art show for adults only from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the school at 5191 Mountain Road.

The fine art experience will feature the colored pencil works of artist Mary Ellen Geissenhiner. Also on display will be acrylic painting by Christine Sperry, mixed media art by Elizabeth Davis, mirrors by Bob Benson, silk fabric painting by Rebecca Snure, pottery by Nevan Pearson-Cody Wise, jewelry and collages by Randy Berry and photography by Michael Land.
