In 1997 these words were incorporated into the General Development Plan and the Lake Shore Small Area Citizens Planning Committees Plan. But are they being adhered to today? A few years ago the concerned citizens of the Mountain Road Peninsula got together with the previous county administration to seriously address the horrendous situation existing on this small area of our county and state. We faced overcrowding, traffic congestion, over burdened schools, loss of aesthetic, open and wooded land, more wells drawing off more fresh water from the aquifer, more raw sewage being pumped into the ground, restrictions of Critical Area...
