| Bank moves headquarters to Glen Burnie

Arundel Federal Savings Bank, unlike many national banks, is not shrinking, being taken over or receiving bailout money. Instead, the bank has moved its headquarters from Brooklyn to Glen Burnie to accommodate an expansion. "We've had healthy growing pains," President and CEO George Behr Jr. said. "We had no other way of improving anything." The bank renovated its Crain Highway building, expanding it by almost 3,000 square feet. The first floor will remain a branch, while the second floor will include corporate offices. "I think it's a real message how successful the bank has been," said Del. Pam Beidle, the owner...
