Former officer guilty in fatal crash ANNAPOLIS - A former county police officer admitted yesterday he was drunk last year when he fatally rear ended an SUV in Harford county and then left the scene of the wreck. Dane Hall, a Northern District officer who left the department shortly after the Jan. 27, 2008, wreck, pleaded guilty to negligent homicide while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a fatal accident as part of a plea agreement with the state. He will be sentenced July 24. Assistant State's Attorney Vernon Gentile plans to argue for Hall - who got drunk with several other officers at an after-shift party shortly... This story has expired!
