While the slot-machine process slows to a crawl in Anne Arundel County, Delaware has upped the gambling stakes by legalizing sports betting and also is heading toward allowing table games. Delaware Gov. Jack Markell signed a bill Thursday to raise more than $50 million through a sports lottery, but Gov. Martin O'Malley so far is focused on just getting the first wave of new gambling installed in Maryland. A spokesman for the governor said O'Malley is only looking at implementing the "slots proposal that the voters overwhelmingly approved" in a November referendum.
