With maneuvering under way to fill the state Senate seat soon to be vacated by Sen. Janet Greenip, first-term Del. James King said he's confident he has the support to win the appointment.

Dels. Nic Kipke, R-Pasadena, Steve Schuh, R-Gibson Island, Tony McConkey, R-Severna Park, and Bob Costa, R-Deale, have all sent letters endorsing King to the 13-member Anne Arundel County Republican Central Committee, which is tasked with finding a replacement.
