| PASADENA: Elementary students bring wildlife into school's halls

Pasadena Elementary School students recently painted a 25-by-6 foot mural depicting the wildlife of Chesapeake Bay in the main hallway of the school. The school received a grant from Young Audiences Arts for Learning of Maryland and partial funding from its PTA to create the mural. The students and their art teacher, Karen O'Boyle, had five days to work with Young Audience's project artist, Caryl Henry-Alexander. Students in grades four and five painted the animals and creatures found in and around the bay. They also created sections of the mural dedicated to bay areas like Baltimore and the Eastern Shore.
